Is there anything more fun than a gym full of gymnastics equipment and an hour to use any of it?
At Gymnaworld’s open gym, kids can do just that. From 1p-2p every Saturday, gymnasts and gym enthusiasts have a chance to use the bars, the beam, the trampoline and other pieces of equipment.
It’s attended mostly by current students, but it is open to the public. Kids who have taken a class or two will quickly see that the rules of equipment are the same wherever they go. Because it’s open gym and instructors are not actively engaged with any one group, it’s important the kids have a general idea of what to do before they attend. My son, who had taken two 8 week classes elsewhere fit right in, even though he was the only boy in attendance!
Gymnaworld’s open gym is a great time for gymnasts to perfect their moves, get some good exercise & visit with other gymnasts. Gymnaworld is located on Pleasant Street in Noblesville, not far from the Hamilton County Fairgrounds.
If you go, arrive a few minutes before 1p to fill out a waiver if you are not a current student. Cash is the easiest form of payment. Participants should wear leotards or comfortable clothing, and be prepared to go barefoot. You’ll want to pack a water bottle because there is not water fountain. Also, please note that parents are not allowed on the gym floor. The gym floor open only to open gym participants. Admission is $4 for current members and $8 for non-members.
