Katy Mann, the woman behind Indy with Kids has been blogging in some fashion since 1998. An accidental topic of conversation among personal finance columnists from the Wall Street Journal to the Independent, from Yahoo! Finance to Fox news, Katy has been interviewed, quoted and misquoted. Consulted with by the Rachel Ray Show and beyond, her websites featuring photos and stories about her wacky neighbors and crazy friends have been featured in Business Week, the Chicago Tribune and various other television, radio and print media outlets.

A Southern California native, Katy moved to the Indianapolis area in 2002 and has spent a lot of time trying to figure out why. After many road trips from one Indiana winery to another, she found her reason (oh, and conceived) and has found a whole new appreciation for what the Indianapolis area and Indiana in general have to offer.

In 2009, Katy made the transition from the corporate cubical to the not for profit arena and in 2010 Katy and her adventurous husband Jacob made the switch from young married winery visitors to the poor, tired, crazed state of parenthood. Having always worked with teenagers and elementary aged kids they were constantly seeking ways of entertaining other people’s children. In addition to that, they now must entertain their own!

Join Katy on her quest to discover and share all that Indianapolis (and the surrounding area) has to offer! You can even tag along on the Mann family travels across the US and around the world!

I recently attended the AquaPlay Date at the Central Indiana Aquatics Center with my 2 year old. We didn’t realize there was a registration or a fee and because no one had change we weren’t able to pay. I am unable to find the link again to pay and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. We had a great time and the crafts and food were so adorable. Thanks for letting us stay!

    1. Hi Jaime,

Thank you for your kind words, I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Don’t worry about it. Hope to see you at our next PLAYdate!

    Good afternoon,
Does it cost anything to advertise a family activity on your website?
In June, St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville is hosting a World Festival. I was hoping we could advertise for free on your website.

    Thank you for the information,
    Janet DeRoche, Marketing Committee Chair
    St. Thomas More World Fest
