Celebrate spring and experience Japanese culture at Carmel Japan SpringFest. Families can enjoy an afternoon of Japanese food, cultural performances, cosplay photo opportunities, and hands-on activities for all ages.
The event will also include a special ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand reopening of the Carmel Japanese Garden. Guests can learn more about Carmel’s sister city, Kawachinagano, Japan, while exploring cultural experiences throughout the festival.
Family-friendly activities include Japanese-themed LEGO creations with IndyLUG, origami, a Japanese tea ceremony, kimono and yukata try-ons, Japanese calligraphy, kendama, yo-yo tsuri, crafts, and stage performances. A variety of food and drink vendors will also be available with sweet, savory, and beverage options.
This free community festival is a beautiful way for families to celebrate spring, try something new, and enjoy Japanese culture right here in Carmel.
