We will utilize parts of the Edesess, Orange, and Red Trails. This session will meet at the Earth Discovery Center and then will hike through deciduous forest, along a mowed grass trail, and through a stand of pine trees, before hiking through deciduous forest again, and finishing in the mowed grass of the Walnut Field. This route will cross Eagle Creek Parkway twice. Restrooms are available inside the EDC and parking is located nearby. This trail is around 1 mile in length and is mostly flat.
Hike & Seek is recommended for ages 2-6 and designed to be a true immersive experience for preschoolers. There is no set theme for these hikes. We will hike at the pace of our tiniest walkers, stopping to investigate things that interest us along the way.
This program is free with park admission. Park admission is $5 per car for Marion County residents and $6 per car for non-residents.
