Plan a break from the books to learn about nature and get your kids outside. You will discuss a specific topic and then explore the outdoors. Kids who spend time in nature are happier, healthier, and smarter!
Dates:
August 9 – Underwater Viewing Scope
They will make underwater viewing scopes and test them in the creek. Dress to get your feet wet. What will you see, and what does that tell you about the health of our creek?
September 6 – Finding Artifacts like an Archaeologist
October 11 – Making a Leaf Collection
Fall is a great time to capture nature’s beauty and learn how to identify trees. You will learn the best practices for preserving your findings and get started on your collection.
Ages: Best for school aged children.
