Wednesday Day Game as the title, copy should be: Baseball under the sun. Enjoy an afternoon doubleheader with a business lunch or “off-site” meeting. Game Highlight: Negro Leagues Week
Join the Indians as we pay tribute to the rich history of the Negro Leagues in Indianapolis by partnering with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The first game in Negro Leagues history was played May 2, 1920, at Washington Park (1200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46222) between the Chicago American Giants and Indianapolis ABCs. The Indians will wear ABCs-inspired jerseys while the Clippers honor the Negro Leagues’ Columbus Blue Birds with on-field jerseys, too.
Game Highlight: ABCs Jersey Auction
The Indians will wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit Indianapolis Indians Charities. The auction will run from gates open on Tuesday, June 20 until the end of the seventh inning on Saturday, June 24.
