Families with kids of all ages are invited to our first Kids Safetypalooza!
Bring your bike and ride through a kids bike safety course.
We are going to be giving away 800 bike helmets for FREE from the Indiana Department of Transportation! Whether you don’t have a helmet at all or just need a new helmet, we have one for you! We will offer two sizes. All helmets will come with a kids activity book and reflector lights for your bike tires.
Touch-a-truck! Local community safety vehicles will be on site to explore including police vehicles, fire vehicles, an ambulance, and an airboat used for water rescues.
A bike check will be available to use all morning. Once your family is done riding through the bike safety course you can check your bike in with our volunteers who will store it while you enjoy the rest of the event! The playground will be open, and we will have a variety of inflatables for lots of different ways to be active!
Community health partners will be on site providing lots of free resources including gun locks, safe medical disposal kits, first aid kits, mouth guards, flu shots, vaccines and more. Get a car seat safety check done and take advantage of the community resources available.
