If you’re craving a holiday getaway that gives you seasonal magic without getting on a plane or battling downtown crowds, Fair Oaks Farms is absolutely worth the drive. This year, the farm has been transformed into a glowing, shimmering holiday destination. The main attraction is tucked right inside the Feed Barn, something completely new for Fair Oaks Farms: the Miracle Holiday Pop-Up Pub, a nostalgic holiday bar with comfort food, festive drinks, and a cheerful atmosphere that feels like it came right out of your favorite Christmas movie.
This is one of those outings where you can make it whatever your family needs. Some families will go straight for s’mores at the outdoor crackling bonfires. Others will want dinner inside the Farmhouse, all decked out for the season. Families with young kids might spend a lot of time exploring the Dairy Adventure with holiday characters (special nights only, see their website for details) or checking out tractors wrapped in lights. And parents looking for a fun seasonal treat will want to stop by the Miracle pop-up for cocktails, mocktails, and those melty grilled cheese sandwiches that Fair Oaks Farms is known for.
Miracle Holiday Pop-Up Pub: Festive Drinks, Comfort Food, and Cozy Vibes
Miracle bars are famous all over the country for their over-the-top nostalgia and themed holiday glassware. Here at Fair Oaks Farms, the Miracle pop-up takes over the Feed Barn and pairs the playful décor with familiar comfort food and drinks for all ages. While most of the Miracle experiences across the country are for adults only, Fair Oaks has made this one family-friendly.
Inside, you’ll find classic holiday cocktails, bright colors, cheerful lights, and the cutest glassware. Even if you’re not here for the cocktails, families can still pop in for mocktails and hot chocolate. The food menu is simple but irresistible. Think golden grilled cheese, warm quesadillas, and quick bites that pair perfectly with a cozy spot indoors. Mocktails are $10, and cocktails or other alcoholic beverages start at $13.
Just outside the Feed Barn, Fair Oaks sets up bonfires where you can toast marshmallows with the kids. S’more kits are available, so you don’t have to bring anything. It becomes a natural gathering place where families warm up, take photos, and enjoy the lights on the nearby tractors and buildings.
The Miracle Holiday Pop-Up at Fair Oaks Farms is open Thursday through Sunday from November 20 to December 14, then open daily from December 18 through January 4, 2026. You can visit from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Central Time, with the full bar opening at 3 p.m. each day. Keep in mind that the pop-up is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and closes early at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, so plan your visit around those holiday hours.
Dairy Tales with Farmer Kringle
One of the most unique things happening at Fair Oaks Farms is their Dairy Tales with Farmer Kringle event. Farmer Kringle is Santa’s dairy-farm brother. He appears inside the Robotic Dairy in his signature red overalls with milk, cookies, a story to share, and time for photos.
Kids help him keep the North Pole stocked with fresh milk for the holiday season, and the storytime moment is extra sweet. During the event, children can write wish lists and hand them directly to Farmer Kringle, who personally ensures they reach Santa.
Families with younger children will especially enjoy this. It also includes early access to the transformed Dairy Adventure, which gives you more time to explore without crowds. Dairy Tale tickets are $25 per person and include a bottle of milk and a cookie, plus supplies to write a letter to Santa.
Holiday Dining at the Farmhouse
The Farmhouse Restaurant at Fair Oaks Farms is stunning during the holiday season. Twinkling lights, a lit fireplace, a large Christmas tree, and a full dining room decked out in festive décor make it feel incredibly warm and welcoming. If you’re looking for a holiday meal that feels special without being formal or fussy, this is a great option for families and multigenerational groups.
Throughout December, Christmas carolers from local schools perform inside the Farmhouse on select dates. The live music adds energy to the space and makes dinner feel more memorable. Dinner reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.
Igloo Dining Under the Winter Sky
Outside the Farmhouse, the igloos are ready for both the holiday and winter seasons. These private domes offer a cozy and scenic dining experience under the evening sky. Each igloo is heated and decorated to feel warm and inviting. Families love them because they’re private, fun, and an easy way to try something different.
The igloos include full service from the Farmhouse menu, so you can enjoy a full meal while staying bundled inside your own winter bubble.
With the Forest of Lights taking a pause this year, Fair Oaks Farms has shifted its energy into creating new traditions. The decorated tractors, the Miracle pop-up, the expanded characters, the beautiful Farmhouse dining room, and the interactive experiences are all designed to fill that gap and give families new ways to celebrate.
A trip to Fair Oaks Farms during the holidays feels like a complete day trip where every age has something to look forward to. You can do as much or as little as you want. Let the kids play inside the Adventures buildings. Stroll through the campus lights. Sip a holiday drink at Miracle. Take photos with characters. Enjoy dinner in the Farmhouse. Or head straight to the bonfire for s’mores.
It’s one of those places where you can bring grandparents, aunts, cousins, toddlers, and teens, and everyone will find their own favorite part.
