Private online learning is a relatively new but rapidly growing concept and suits families seeking a personalized, flexible, and affordable education tailored to their child’s needs. They offer a customized learning experience that allows students to work at their own pace and flexible scheduling. Additionally, private online schools can provide a faith-based education, which can be an excellent option for families who want their children to receive a Christian education.
FaithPrep Academy of Indiana opened in 2021, but its online learning platform, Stride K12, has existed for over 20 years. FaithPrep offers a personalized learning experience that integrates biblical truth with core education. The school aspires for students to be intelligent, virtuous individuals who discover their talents and use them to fulfill God’s will for their lives.
FaithPrep is approved by the Indiana Board of Education, employs state-licensed teachers trained in online learning, and is an Indiana voucher school. The school offers a variety of programs and resources to help students reach their full potential, including dual-credit college courses, career prep, and a top-notch curriculum.
About FaithPrep Academy of Indiana
FaithPrep Academy of Indiana is a private online Christian school serving kindergarten to 12th-grade students throughout Indiana. It aims to help students pursue academic excellence through a personalized learning process integrating Biblical truth around the core knowledge curriculum. With a unique Servant Learner program, students get a holistic educational experience that provides rigorous academics from a Christian worldview and focuses on character development and life preparation.
Chuck Wolfe formed Faith Academics in 2021 to develop the FaithPrep model and launch a network of private online Christian schools and homeschool programs, including FaithPrep Academy of Indiana.
FaithPrep Indiana staff is devoted to providing the best online school experience possible by offering program support that enhances the students’ learning and faith experience and provides parents with strategies and techniques to help their students.
The Mission of FaithPrep Academy
FaithPrep Academy’s mission is to help students pursue academic excellence, develop Christian character, and discover their gifts, talents, and purpose to follow God’s calling.
FaithPrep uses a cutting-edge education model focusing on each student’s unique abilities, gifts, and interests. The school believes that every student reflects the Creator and has a distinct purpose that only they can fulfill. FaithPrep provides an authentic community, enriched engagement, and challenging studies to help students reach their full potential.
Top-Notch Curriculum and Affordable Tuition Fees
FaithPrep uses Stride K12, the leading platform in online learning, for its core curriculum and elective courses and a Summit Ministries biblical worldview curriculum as part of its Servant Learner program. Virtual learning combines online and offline lessons with interactive animations, books, music, videos, and materials for hands-on experiments.
Private schools can be costly, but FaithPrep’s tuition is lower than the national average. The school offers a 10-month payment plan and sibling discounts and accepts vouchers for the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program. Education costs less than $3,500 per semester for grades K-8 and less than $3,700 for high school.
Options for Dual-Credit College Courses and Career Prep
FaithPrep focuses on the student’s career calling in middle and high school. The Faith Collegiate program allows students to take dual enrollment courses and earn up to an associate’s degree from a Christian university while attending high school.
Every student will have a minimum of five dual-credit courses included in their program and will have earned fifteen credits towards college upon graduation. They also have the opportunity to take additional courses at low tuition fees of under $100-$300 per course— FaithPrep partners with Indiana Wesleyan University to offer these dual enrollment courses for high school students.
FaithPrep also offers Faith Pathways, a program that prepares students for high-demand, career-focused fields such as IT, health sciences, STEM, and business. This program allows students to earn certifications or vocational pathways early on or start a career right after high school.
Each middle and high school student can connect with colleges, companies, scholarships, and more on a Tallo platform.
Does FaithPrep Academy offer an opportunity for students and families to socialize?
Every student has a teacher who serves as a Faith Advocate and is part of a weekly Faith Group. FaithPrep provides online events such as chapel, assemblies, and guest lectures. These resources foster community, promote socialization, and provide support throughout the school year. Faith Centers for activities and general program support meet in Indiana Wesleyan University Regional Campuses and other locations to offer in-person socializing.
Parents, or Faith Coaches, are part of a Coach Community. The school provides online training and community groups for parents and guardians who support student learning as Faith Coaches.
FaithPrep also live-streams chapel from Indina Wesylean University and provides online assemblies and activities for students and parents.
More Than Just a School
FaithPrep is more than just a school. It is a place where students can develop their Christian character, discover their purpose and passion, and engage in community service. FaithPrep offers a variety of programs to help students reach their full potential.
The Servant Learner program focuses on character development, encourages students to serve their community through volunteer work, and culminates with the FaithWalk program. Every FaithPrep student graduates ready to impact the world for good as a Servant Learner!
Chuck Wolfe, FaithPrep founder, says, “The online platform is not a place where you are forced into anonymity or isolation. It can be a place where you can come together and have more genuine connections and interactions with students and teachers.”
