Next week we will remember the 23rd anniversary of September 11, 2001. It’s hard as a parent of young kids, to explain what happened and why it’s important to remember. The 9/11 Memorial in downtown Indianapolis is a really good place to start conversations with your children about the events of that day.
Head outdoors and enjoy a wide variety of family-friendly options this weekend. Get creative at the Penrod Arts Fest, learn about the symbolism represented at Crown Hill Cemetary, or discover your German roots at the Annual Indianapolis Oktoberfest.
One of my favorite ways to welcome fall is shopping at the Indy Kids Sale! I love stocking up on new and gently used clothing, toys, shoes, and books for the fall, winter, and holiday seasons. Snag a ticket to this year’s sale (September 15-16) and save a bundle. Use promo code Katy for free pre-sale tickets.
Don’t forget to cheer on the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Fever, both of which are playing home games this weekend. Go Indy!
Let’s enjoy our time together and #PlayIndy!
