Do you crave walking through nature that opens your imagination to the sights and sounds of a magical land? If you want to explore how art and nature can easily be intertwined to bring your creative side out, then head on over to the Indianapolis Art Center’s ArtsPark designed by world-renowned architect, Michael Graves. Bring your family, camera and a picnic for the afternoon to experience twelve fairytale-like acres of forest and art sculptures designed to awaken all of your senses. Wander around the variety of landscape, smell the fragrant flowers, touch the different textures and take in the warmth of the sun and the sounds of nature. The ArtsPark is your creative outlet to culture, art and nature.
When my family spent an afternoon at the ArtsPark, we thoroughly enjoyed playing hide and go seek, doing a nature scavenger hunt, exploring the various sculptures and opening up our imaginations as we pretended to live inside the ArtsPark’s “Twisted House.” We enjoyed a lovely picnic overlooking the White River surrounded by all the beauty the ArtsPark has to offer to the community.
In addition to the endless creative possibilities that the ArtsPark offers, the Indianapolis Art Center has many opportunities for youth. Check out the website for information on the center’s Youth Classes, Teen Intensive Classes, Parent and Child “Pop-Up” Classes and Teen “Pop-Up” Classes, Youth and Teen Camps, and last but not least, Teen Programs!
The Indianapolis Art Center and its ArtsPark has something to offer for everyone of all ages!
