A visit to Morse Park and Beach is not something to be taken lightly! One can easily spend an entire day there, between the impressive playgrounds, the beach, and the water park. The 23-acre park is also home to an 18-hole disc golf course. During spring and summer, Hamilton County Parks and Rec spring and softball leagues are in action. The beach offers sun, sand, and water. Who knew that we can go to a beach so close to home?!
The park offers fishing, as well as a boat dock, for those looking to get in touch with nature, and for those looking to keep cool during the summer months, the Water Adventure Park. The park offers volleyball, playgrounds, rolling hills, trails, and picnic tables and shelters. The park is big enough that you can take your family for a blanket picnic, and not feel like you’re on top of all the other park-goers. Total amenities that the park offers are: picnic shelters, picnic tables, playground, trails, restrooms, beach, bathhouse, boat dock, fishing, volleyball court, softball fields, and disc golf.
The beach is open Memorial Day through Labor Day, from 11am-5pm. The Parks and Rec website states that keeping in touch via their Facebook page is recommended, in the event of changes due to weather.
If you’re looking to hang out at the Water Adventure Park, be prepared to sign a waiver to gain admission. The Water Adventure Park also offers group parties, but if you’re looking to book a party, be sure to prepay and let the park know ahead of time. The water park only offers 40 participants per time slot, so participation is limited.
