Jacob & I plan on spending Valentine’s Day with our children so we have a few options for celebrating on our own;

We decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day the weekend before, while the kids are in bed.
It’s not uncommon for parents like us to celebrate V-day at home with or without kids, and this year is no different. With so many more people celebrating Valentine’s Day at home this year, there are some great options out there for dinners and desserts. I’m of the opinion that one of the most delicious deals is the Harry and Izzy’s Northside (4050 E. 82nd Street) Take-and-Bake Valentine’s Day Special for Two.
The Harry and Izzy’s Dinner Special is available for $100.
The package includes:
- Two, three-piece orders of St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail
- Asparagus
- Two cups of soup du jour
- Two filets, two New York strip steaks or one of each (seasoning included)
- Mashed potatoes
- Two brownies with caramel
- One bottle of wine
- Satchel of rose petals
The steaks are uncooked so you can make them exactly as you like and the sides just need to be heated. Meals will be available for pickup Friday, Feb. 12 – Sunday, Feb. 14. Pre-orders can be placed by calling the restaurant at 317-915-8045.
This meal was so delicious! The fragrance of the steaks cooking was just delightful and the flavors on our tastebuds were wonderful! It felt like we were at Harry & Izzy’s but without the worry of driving or making arrangements for a babysitter. We will definitely be doing this again..and again!
