Greatimes Family Fun Park Indoor Playground
Greatimes Family Fun Park in Indianapolis hit our radar a couple years ago when they redesigned and remodeled their indoor play place for kids. While other guests were upset that the ball pit would not make an appearance in the updated indoor playground, we were just thrilled to see the brand new, state of the art indoor climber that would provide hours of indoor fun for Indianapolis kids and families.
Indoor Playground in Indianapolis
Located across the parking lot from Expo Bowl bowling alley (you know, the giant bowling pin that you can see from interstate 465) and featuring an outdoor go-cart track,18-hole miniature golf course, bumper boats and an arcade game room, the indoor playspace is just one of the attractions that families will be able to enjoy.
We finally stopped in to visit with our four children (ages 8, 6, 4 & 2) and we played for over two hours. My kids were entertained the entire time and completely sad to leave — they made new friends, expelled energy and had a really, really good time. Children under 56 inches are welcome to play in the playland after paying admission.

If you’re looking for a great place for kids to play during the winter in Indianapolis, Greatimes indoor playground is the place to be. In fact, no matter the time of year, this southside of Indy indoor place place is perfect for fun!

Things to Know Before You Go
Children must wear socks at all times. The indoor playland at Greatimes is a giant multi-level climbing playground with padded surfaces, slides and many other features, including a toddler play area. My little ones really enjoyed the electronic music instruments. Bench seating is available throughout the Playland for parents to relax and supervise their children. Children taller than 4’8 are not permitted, but there are other attractions and activities for them. The bathroom is located right outside of the playland area.

Food and Drinks at Greatimes
There is a concession stand/quick service restaurant available inside the arcade area of Greatimes, just a few yards from the indoor playground. You’ll find pizza by the slice or whole (the pizza was pretty good and the price was about $20 for two whole pizzas), hot dogs, sub sandwiches, chicken tenders and soft drinks.

Children three and under play for free on the Indoor Playplace at Greatimes. All other children under 56 inches pay $5.50 each (at time of publishing). Look for special deals and coupons for the Greatimes Playplace.

Group rates for Greatimes Indoor play place start at $13.50 for unlimited attractions. Check out the weekday pricing for the indoor playground, as well as weekday evening pricing. Monday-Thursday nights and Monday-Friday during the day, kids can enjoy the indoor play space for only $2.75 per child (true at time of publishing this article).

Greatimes is a great Indianapolis children’s birthday party location. They have party packages and a lot of fun activities for many ages. Kids can play mini golf, kart tracks, in the multi level arcade room, plus they have several party rooms and they offer a variety of other family or group options.
