This museum adventure is worth adding to your fall bucket list! The Pokémon Fossil Museum has made its North American debut at Chicago’s Field Museum, bringing together two kid favorites—Pokémon and dinosaurs—in a colorful, interactive look at fossils and prehistoric creatures.
The exhibit lets kids compare Fossil Pokémon like Tyrantrum and Archeops with real fossils, making paleontology feel fun and approachable while connecting something they already love with real-world science. And since Chicago is an easy road trip from Indianapolis, it’s a great excuse for a family museum day or weekend getaway.
The Pokémon Fossil Museum runs through April 11, 2027, so there’s plenty of time to plan your visit—and Pokémon Fossil Museum ticket holders can also receive a special Archeops promotional trading card while supplies last!
