Brightly Art Studio
This dreamy space is home to some of the most creative and kind people you’ll ever meet. Brightly Art Studio offers preschool playgroups, family workshops, elementary-age art club, and more.
Ignite Studio at the Fishers Library
This dedicated maker space and art studio is located in the lower level of the Fishers Library, The Ignite Studio is cutting edge facility where visitors can check out kits, utilize equipment, book time in the A.V. Studio, visit a Maker In Residence, participate in drop-in art classes and so, so much more.
Penn & Beech Make Your Own Candles
Penn & Beech has two locations, one in Indianapolis and another in Carmel. Kids love sniffing all of the fragrances and coming up with the perfect combination. Everyone can participate in the whole candle making process, from designing the candle scent to mixing and pouring the wax.
The Paint Cellar
Located in Carmel, The Paint Cellar offers adult painting classes, along with opportunities for children as well. They offer a Kid’s Summer Art Camp, as well as classes throughout the year. The art camp is recommended for kids aged 6-13, and camp projects include watercolors, pastels, crafts, and canvas. There are camp sessions available in June and July. The classes offered for children throughout the year are available on both Fridays and Saturdays.
Cookies & Canvas
Wine & Canvas on 82nd Street hosts a special event for children. Cookies & Canvas offers a chance for youngsters to paint their own canvas, and be proud of the work they’ve done. Cookies & Canvas also offers a day camp during the summer months for kiddos, and they make it an all-day event, snacks and lunch included in the cost. Cookies & Canvas is recommended for kids 5 and up. Parents are welcome to join their children in creating a canvas, or are also welcome to observe.
Bath Junkie DIY Bath Products
Bath Junkie is a super cute shop in Carmel near the Cake Bake Shop. You can sniff all of the fragrances available and then create the perfect scent for you. Add the fragrance to your choice of lotions, body wash, bath bombs, bath salts and more. They have wonderful group parties for children.
Pottery By You
Tucked into 86th and Township Line Road, family-owned Pottery By You offers kids and adults the chance to craft beautiful pottery, either mud, bisque, or glass (they offer child-safe glass for kids under 8). Birthday parties, summer classes, and year-round fun is waiting to be had in this artsy mecca. All ages are welcome, all the time, and no appointment is needed to drop in and get in on the fun.
Indianapolis Art Center
The Indianapolis Art Center is located in north Broad Ripple Village, and offers classes and exhibitions. Kid’s art classes and camps are offered throughout the year. Kids 2-17 are invited to join their peers in class, for any medium offered. The Indianapolis Art Center also offers classes for kids and parents to create works of art together! Pop up classes are also offered, for all ages, in a 2 hour class, where no experience is necessary.
Half-Baked Pottery
Also located in Broad Ripple, Half-Baked Pottery’s motto is “Cheaper than therapy, and way more fun!” We’d have to agree! Pack up the crew and head over to their place for tons of fun with the family. Half-Baked Pottery offers kid’s birthday parties, scout troop classes, team building, and even daycares and schools can participate in classes (calling all PTO moms!). They offer a summer kid’s camp, as well as Kid’s Night Out events.
Garfield Park Arts Center
An Indy Parks and Rec facility, Garfield Park Arts Center offers exhibitions as well as classes. The facility offers more than just visual art classes, they also offer performance art instruction! If you have a creative kid, they’ll be in heaven at the Arts Center. Summer camps are also offered in addition to classes, if you would like your kid to be involved in something different this summer. Different camps are offered, based on your kid’s interests, and most camps start at age 6.
Painting With a Twist
Situated on Michigan Road and another location in Carmel, Painting With a Twist offers adult classes as well as kids classes, ages 5-17. Kids’ parties are also available, for a one-of-a-kind interactive birthday party. Parties also start at age 5. Family Day classes are available for the entire family, and once again, recommended for ages 5 and up. Families and attendees are welcome to bring food and beverages into the classes, with the exception of no alcohol during kid’s events.
Studio 309
This all ages studio offers art lessons and personalized parties Occasionally, drop in art classes are offered on the weekend. Reserve time for a field trip, birthday party or homeschool group.
The Creative Corner
The Creative Corner has quickly popped up as one of the hottest birthday party locations on the north side of Indianapolis. They also offer Saturday workshops, preschool art classes, and camps.
