Das Pretzel Haus

This Bavarian pretzel vendor  is serving up melt in your mouth jumbo pretzels that the whole family can share! Salted, warm, and delicious, these pretzels will leave you coming back for more on your next visit.

The Walking Waffle Company

These are the most incredible waffles I have ever tasted. Sugary, fluffy, and the perfect crispiness with each bite. I am not typically a huge waffle fan, and I could eat these all day. I look forward to a Belgian waffle every year at the market.

Das Schokoladenhaus

If you love chocolate, than this is the stop for you. Stop and enjoy chocolate covered treats, such as pretzels, marshmallows, and fruit. They also have delicious hot chocolate, so be sure to grab some while you are there.

Java Haus

On a cold December day at the Christkindlmarkt, nothing warms you up quite like a hot cup of coffee. The seasonal dark roast espresso is amazing. There are unique coffees available to purchase, with special seasonal flavors and toppings that will make you feel like you are drinking Christmas in a cup.

Kartoffelpuffer

German potato pancakes are something I look forward to enjoying every year at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt. If you’ve never eaten one before, you are in for a treat! They are shredded seasoned potatoes, fried on the grill top and served hot. Save room for these potato pancakes on your next visit.

Schnitzel & Sauerkraut

The food vendor Schnitzel & Sauerkraut has so many delicious items, that you will have a hard time deciding what to get! They offer fresh Schnitzel, which is a fried pork sandwich that originated in Germany. They also serve homemade sauerkraut, and Kartofflesoiess, which is the German name for spiral fried potatoes. They are crispy, hot, and made to order. You won’t want to miss this amazing food vendor when you visit the Christkindlmarkt.

Ma Créperie

Freshly made to order crépes are the perfect dessert to share. You will get to watch your crépe get made right in front of you, and pick your fillings as it is made to order. We had the Nutella crepes, and they were absolutely out of this world! You won’t want to miss this sweet treat.

Wurst Haus

It is hard to miss our friends cooking freshly made German sausages over an open fire at the market. These sausages are authentic, juicy, and so delicious. You can smell them before you see them! If you love German sausage, then you will want to save room to sample these on your next visit.

Glühwein Pyramid

The Glühwein Pyramid in the heart of the Christkindlmarkt has hot Glühwein, which is German for wine. These adult drinks are the perfect drink for parents to sip on as they walk with the kids, or on a date night out. They also serve a variety of other drinks here that the kids can enjoy as well.

Kaffee & Schmalzkuchen

This German vendor is the perfect stop on your next trip. They serve Schmalzkuchen, which is a homemade fried donut sprinkled with powdered sugar and served in an easy to carry pouch. They are the perfect amount of crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Grab a cup of hot cocoa while you are there, it is homemade and so yummy!
