Where to See Santa Claus in Indy

No matter your schedule or what part of town you’re visiting, there is sure to be a Santa available to visit. There are even Caring Santas especially for kids on the autism spectrum or with similar special needs. Check out our list, and let us know if we missed your favorite Santa.

Visiting Santa is by reservation only and social distancing and masks will be required for entry. Santa will have a special guard to ensure he’s healthy for Christmas.  Please follow all public health guidelines and reserve a time before your family’s visit. Limited time slots available, only one group per time slot.

Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Know Before You Go

This year, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has two ways to visit Santa–in person or virtually. Virtual visits can be scheduled on their website for a fee.

For all in-person visits, Santa will remain in his sleigh while wearing a face mask. Families will be able to chat with him at a safe social distance, take a photo, and bring a letter to drop in our Letters to Santa box. All guests over the age of 2 must wear a face masks. Photos are available for a fee.

Indiana State Museum

Know Before You Go

All visitors 2 years and older are required to wear masks even when having their photo taken and visiting with Santa. All museum staff and Santa will also be wearing masks. Interactions with the photographer and Santa will be from a safe distance, and behind plexiglass. Lines will be socially distanced and only one family will be in the Santa visit area at a time. Props used in the winter wonderland photo op will be cleaned after every use. Santa will be seated in a sleigh with a decorative barrier to maintain at least 6 feet for social distancing.

Know Before You Go

This event is approved by the Fishers Health Department. The Santa Meet & Greet is socially distanced and free, but registration is required. You will be able to get family photos with Santa! For the safety of all attendees, please do not attend if you have recently had a fever or have experienced any potential symptoms of COVID-19, and reconsider going out if you are part of a vulnerable group. All attendees must register in advance or at the door, all guests ages 5 and over must wear a face covering at all times, maintain a 6 foot distance from other guests, and wash their hands and use sanitizer often.

Christmas on the Farm

Christmas on the Farm will look a little different for 2020. Guests will experience the farm with some of old favorites like winter hayrides, holiday lights, festive music from Steve Quinn, visits from Santa and our historic 1850’s red barn as the backdrop! New this year, Victorian carolers roaming the property and holiday tales shared from a professional storyteller. Stop at the North Pole to write a letter to Santa and drop your letter in the mailbox. Enjoy snacks that will be available for purchase including our own hot chocolate, eggnog, sugar cookies from Four Birds Bakery and other local specialty items! This outdoor experience offers a safe & socially distanced moment of togetherness this holiday season! Advance tickets are required for all attendees, $20 per person, children under 4 are free, and can be purchased online.

Know Before You Go

Photos are $5 each. One ticket = one photo. You only need a ticket if you are getting your picture taken with Santa. Adults accompanying children DO NOT need a ticket. Santa will sit behind a plexiglass shield and children will sit on bench in front of it. Children will not sit on Santa’s lap but they will have the opportunity to talk with him and get their picture taken. Masks are required at all times indoors. Masks can be removed for the picture but will need to be put back on immediately after the picture is taken. Entrance will only be permitted during your designated 15-minute time block. Tickets will be scanned at the door and early entrance will not be permitted.

COVID has made this year a challenge for all of us but Santa still wants to see all the kiddos at Blackhawk! Social distancing rules will be followed. Santa will be masked and we ask that all children talking to Santa over the age of 3 be masked as well. Reservations are free but required. Please select the time your children want to see Santa when buying your tickets. Only one ticket needed per family regardless of number of children.
