The newest Santa visiting area may be the best kept secret on Indy’s northside. Cabela’s in Noblesville has turned a section of their store into Santa’s Workshop and it is the perfect place to play and craft and visit with the big man in the red suit and it’s all FREE. Walk in the store and turn left and go all the way down to where the boats were usually on display, and you can’t miss it. They offer areas for your kids to play with the toys they have for sale. There are lincoln logs, and play dirt and more for them to test and check out. Also, in this area is a letter writing area for Santa. A FREE Christmas Craft area, a duck shooting gallery and you can visit with Santa and get a FREE 4x6 photo of him with your kids in an adorable setting complete with reindeer. (Granted they are Cabela Reindeer so they don’t require much food, wink, wink.)
My kids loved playing with the toys. And the crafts they had were really nice (a wooden puzzle to color, a felt Santa bag and color your own holiday drawstring backpack). I enjoyed getting a little extra shopping done and you can’t beat a FREE photo with Santa.
What to know before you go. Check Cabelas website for the exact times Santa will be there and if you are there on a weekend, make sure to get a “Bass Pass: to skip the line and have a reserved time to see Santa.
