Between now and Christmas, there are a ton of fantastic holiday events, one of them being Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies. Carmel 3:00-6:30 pm
Holiday at Center Green (formerly known as Holiday on the Square) is the perfect kickoff to the season, with the holiday lighting ceremony, a visit from Santa, live reindeer and other animals to pet, holiday entertainment and children’s activities. Come see your neighbors and friends and get in the holiday spirit.
Greenwood 4-7 pm
Greenwood-A-Glow begins at the Greenwood Public Library with crafts, shows, food and Santa Claus. Later in the night the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Greenwood City Center will take place.
Metamora 6:30-7:30 pm
The Metamora Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at the Gazebo at 6:30. Gather around the fire barrels as you listen to live holiday music, sing-alongs and warm up with free hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies and at the right moment we will light up the tree.
Danville 4-8 pm
Light Up Danville: Christmas on the Square is a free evening filled with holiday cheer visiting the Courthouse Square to enjoy the Live Nativity, trackless train, strolling Christmas characters, carolers and the lighting of the Christmas Tree and canopy of lights by Santa has become a family tradition!
Indianapolis 6-8 pm
Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Circle of Lights will have festivities beginning at 6 pm The Monument light-up will occur at approximately 7:55 pm. For a unique view of the Circle of Lights, ride the elevator to the top of the City County Building and take in the view from the Observation Deck.
Martinsville 6-10 pm
Festival of Lights at Jimmy Nash Park is held November 24 – January 2 from 6-10 pm each night. Santa will be on hand as the lights at Jimmy Nash City Park turn on on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 25. The holiday light displays are a tradition at the park and will remain lit throughout the holiday season until January 2. Santa may make additional appearances – watch the Jimmy Nash City Park Facebook page for details. Visitors are welcome to drive through the park to view the display or park and walk around if the weather’s nice. There is a sleigh near the Family Pavilion that you are welcome to use for photos!
Kokomo 6-9 pm
Christmas at the Seiberling is an annual lighting ceremony and kick-off of Christmas at the Seiberling. Santa will arrive by horse-drawn carriage, we’ll count down to zero and flip the switch to light up the Seiberling Mansion.
Zionsville 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Christmas in the Village Parade and Tree Lighting – Immediately following parade: Tree lighting at approximately 5:30 pm, live entertainment, barrel train rides, photos with Santa and photos with live reindeer.
Celebrate the start of the holiday season at Fishers’ Nickel Plate Amphitheater! Free children’s activities, ice carving demonstrations, a petting zoo, live music from Fishers Music Works, and more. The annual tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m.
Anderson 3:00 – 8:00 pm
This event is the kick off to this year’s Winter Fest and will feature many activities at Dickmann Town Center including an ice skating rink, visit with Santa and Princesses, a polar bear slide, great downtown venues and more!
Avon 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Christmas Tree Lighting is a free event and fun for the entire family! At the Avon Town Hall you’ll have a visit from Santa, crafts, train rides, hot chocolate and cookies and fireworks!
Brownsburg 6 pm
Christmas Under the Stars Brownsburg Parks’ annual parade of lights features colorfully lighted floats, including one featuring Old Saint Nick himself, as the parade makes its way from Brown Elementary to Tilden Drive, west to Locust Lane, south to parade’s end at Williams Park. After the parade, there will be a tree lighting, music and Santa Claus at Town Hall.
Fortville 12:00pm – 7:00 pm
Lights on Main Fortville Winter Festival will include several vendors ready to sell a variety of items starting at noon. Parade starts at 3 pm Event also includes story telling, an ice rink, ice sculptor, music, Santa, and a lighting ceremony.
Franklin, All day
5K, Breakfast with Santa, Dec a tree display, live nativity, visit with Santa, music, puppets, games, storytime and more. Lighted parade starts at 5:30pm and the lighting of the grounds at Compass Park will take place at 6pm. The luminaries will be lit on the Johnson County Steps at 6:15.
FREE activities for the whole family include Pictures with Santa, Train Rides, Pictures with Frosty the Snowman, a Gingerbread House Display, Live Reindeer Petting and Show, Live Musical Entertainment, Food & Retail Vendors, and the Annual Tree Lighting Celebration!
McCordsville 5:15 pm – 7:30 pm
Christmas Tree Lighting will include singing, crafts, treats, the lighting of our big tree and the arrival of Santa. There will also be entertainment by the McCordsville Elementary School as well as from some of our talented MVPs.
