Date Night Ideas in McCordsville

When out east of Indianapolis, make a stop into McCordsville to grab a bite to eat at one of their great restaurants. Traxx BBQ

Are you ready for some outstanding barbeque? Traxx has fall off the bone ribs, delicious brisket, and of course you can’t go wrong with pulled pork. I love this BBQ restaurant because the sides are all amazing as well and there are plenty of choices. An added bonus is that Traxx is located in the same building as Scarlet Lane Brewing so you can grab a pint to compliment your meal. 

The Grill

The Grill is perfect for a date night when you can’t decide what type of food to have. Their menu is extensive with plenty of choices for you and your date. They have everything from salads to steaks to pizza and a little of everything in between. They have an amazing dessert menu too which includes their signature dessert, the mile high chocolate cake. Patio dining is available as weather permits and they also offer a full bar.

Los Agaves Grill

If you are in the mood for Mexican cuisine, check out Los Agaves. To spice up date night, indulge in a flight of tequila! A margarita flight is also available. The restaurant offers plenty of choices such as chimichangas, burritos, enchiladas, and a fantastic taco selection.

Daniel’s Vineyard

This is the perfect spot for any date night. Daniel’s Vineyard offers beautiful seating inside and out. They are currently doing tasting at your table so you can discuss with your date which are your favorites. You will receive 4 two ounce pours of their different wines plus a sheet to mark down your notes. Live music is often available. You can also order a charcuterie plate or a fresh pizza made in the pizza oven. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. If you choose to sit outside, there are some fun fire pit tables. This is a great spot to sit back, relax, and unwind. 

Scarlet Lane Brewing Company

7724 Depot Street, McCordsville

If you go to Scarlet Lane, you are sure to have a great beer. If you hear a little about their story and mission, you will enjoy it exponentially more. The brewery is primarily female owned and operated which is a rarity in the world of beer. The head brewer is so passionate about making exquisite beers that her staff goes through extensive training to learn the ins and outs of craft beer and the history of why they do what they do. So grab a pint or 2, maybe even a flight and pair your evening with some Traxx BBQ which is located in the same building. 

Tim’s Bakery

6087 W. Broadway, McCordsville

Old-fashioned melt in your mouth yeast donuts create long lines at Tim’s Bakery. Those in the know realize the donuts are totally worth the wait. The price is unbeatable at about a dollar per donut. This no frills shop has been attracting customers for years and is a can’t miss stop while you are in McCordsville.
