Carmel Winter Market

Sadly, they are bidding fond farewell to The Wire Factory, the building that has been their Winter Market home for the past few years. And that means they are saying “goodbye” to their beloved Blue Bunnies painted by world-famous mural artist, Jules Muck. The Bunnies have been their friends and beacons for the past few years.  The preparation and move-in at their new location, just a block down the street at 611 3rd Avenue SW, is now complete. They will be open on time and on schedule this Saturday morning at 9 AM. This move is bittersweet. They loved the funkiness and historic manufacturing plant feel of The Wire Factory, but it did have some drawbacks. Their new location, situated just between Salon01 and Shannon Door on the east side of Third, has many advantages. Things such as ample paved parking, great lighting, lots of space, multiple restrooms, and good pedestrian access from the Monon.  The building, which is owned by the Carmel Redevelopment Commission, will be their home for this season. Their thanks go out to the CRC and its executive director, Henry Mestetsky. And, certainly, they owe a debt of gratitude to Pedcor Companies for their generosity and civic spirit in allowing them to use the old Woods Wire Manufacturing plant for the past four years. Come visit their forty vendors at the Winter Market this Saturday morning, and every Saturday through the end of March, in their new home, 611 3rd Av SW. Parking is free in front of the building and on both the building’s north and south sides. (Please, however, do not park in the lot of their good neighbor, Salon 01. They need all their spaces on Saturdays for their clients.) See you at the Winter Market!
