Calling all space explorers! You are invited to join the interstellar ranks of the Cosmos Cadets with Mr. Blake and his first science officer, Dr. KitKat. Cosmos Cadets is a new STEM program focusing on astronomy, the solar system, and space exploration history for kids. Building up to the eclipse in April, March’s Cosmos Cadets program will explore what eclipses actually are. Prepare for experiments with light and shadows, explore NASA photographs and videos of solar and lunar eclipses, and engage in fun activities about the history of eclipses in different human civilizations. The final frontier awaits, Cadets! For grades 1-4. Registration is required.
Attendance earns a pair of solar eclipse glasses for an attending child. A child is only eligible for ONE pair of solar eclipse glasses total—regardless of how many programs that child attends. Supplies are limited, so they cannot provide glasses for an entire family, only children who attend a qualifying program.
