Monument Circle is the symbolic center of Indianapolis, popular with locals and tourists alike. But there’s much more to the Circle’s story than meets the eye.
You’ll explore the Soldiers & Sailors Monument and encircling landmarks, where guides will help you unravel the stories behind architecture and symbolism. Indianapolis visitors will experience one of the nation’s most beautiful public monuments and residents will gather fun tidbits to share with future guests.
The majority of this half-mile walking tour takes place outside. Tours run rain or shine, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. It is accessible for people using wheelchairs.
Tours last approximately 60-minutes and depart from just outside the South Bend Chocolate Company Café, 30 Monument Circle
Parking: If you have good parking karma, hunt for a spot on the street, or choose one of the parking garages close to the Circle, in the flanking blocks on Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Ohio streets. If you’re price conscious, park in the Circle Centre garage, entering on the south side of Washington Street just west of Meridian Street.
PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE
The tour costs $10 per person age 12 and up; $8 per member of Indiana Landmarks; $5 per child (age 6-11); free for children age 5 and under (strollers welcome).
