Join Hamilton County Parks for a day of celebrating the historical heritage of Coxhall Gardens. Learn about the 1865 Italianate brick house once belonging to the John Williams family and what their department is doing to help preserve this important piece of Hamilton County history. Archaeologists from the University of Indianapolis will be onsite conducting public excavations of the Williams family lawn, and visitors are encouraged to stop by the excavations and see what is being discovered. Additionally, the beautiful Coxhall Mansion will be open for visitors to stroll through with knowledgeable docents ready to answer questions.
