Seeds of Caring Indianapolis is teaming up with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful for a hands-on service event for kids. Children will learn ways to care for the local ecosystem, then take action by picking up litter and clearing storm drains to help keep waterways clean.
Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings outside the listed age range are welcome, though the event notes that they may find the experience less meaningful or fulfilling.
What to Expect
All supplies will be provided. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle. Sunscreen is recommended for warm, sunny days, and rain boots are recommended if it has recently rained.
Families who live in Indianapolis can also sign up at the event for Keep Indianapolis Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Block program and receive supplies to take home that day.
