Step back in time and celebrate the magic of the season at the Sankt Nikolaus Festival in downtown Indianapolis. Hosted by the Athenaeum Foundation, this nostalgic holiday celebration is filled with old-world traditions, family fun, and memories that last a lifetime.
Since 1985, the beloved Sankt Nikolaus book has recorded the name and age of every child who visits. When you arrive, your child’s name is added to the book for a personalized visit with St. Nikolaus himself—a unique Indy tradition that’s been cherished for generations.
Families can enjoy crafts, live entertainment, and the festive atmosphere of the historic Athenaeum building. Street parking is free on Sundays, making it easy to bring everyone downtown for an afternoon of holiday joy.
Cost: Free admission
Perfect for: Families with children of all ages
