Have you resolved to be more active and get outside in nature for the new year, but didn’t quite make it to the First Day Hikes offered by many of the Indiana State Parks? Have no fear! Even if you slept in on the first day of the new year, you can still join us on the second day for an invigorating tromp on the trails to start the new year off right. We’ll be hiking approximately 2.5 miles of moderate trail, with some short hills and stairs. The wind off the reservoir can be brisk in January, so be sure to dress for the weather!
The Earth Discovery Center will be closed to the public until 1:00pm that day but we will open the building for a brief restroom break before and after the program for participants.
Program may be cancelled due to extreme wind or unsafe driving conditions – call 317-327-7148 or check the Eagle Creek Park Facebook page for updates. Recommended age 12 and up, free with park admission! Park admission is $5 per car for Marion County Residents and $6 per car for non-residents. Pre-registration not required.
