My husband, son and myself are huge movie buffs! My son, Blake, especially loves going to the movies! He is obsessed with special effects and learning about the makings of a movie as well! One of these days, we are going to have to take Blake to tour a movie studio to see how everything works!
When a good family friendly movie comes to theaters, we jump at the opportunity to see it on the big screen with some delicious buttery popcorn and drinks in hand! There are several wonderful theaters in our area, but our newest favorite is Flix Brewhouse in Carmel, Indiana located at 2206 E. 116th Street. We liked how the enormous movie screen curved on the sides to give a full optimal view no matter what seat you have in the house. The sound quality was supreme! The seats were very comfortable, and your table for your food and drink can be easily pushed in and out for easy access.
Whether you are looking for a great place for your family to see a film or you are looking for a fun date night out, Flix Brewhouse is a fabulous option for those that love movies and delicious food! Their menu is, in my opinion, restaurant quality. You can definitely enjoy a delicious and filling meal during your movie! Every Sunday, they offer a lovely brunch menu. My husband and I enjoyed their delicious omelets, while our son gobbled up his entire cinnamon pancakes with chocolate chips added to them! Blake said they were the best pancakes he’s ever had outside of mine! I tried a bite of his pancakes, and I must agree with his review. They are fabulous!
For those that are 21 years and older, Flix Brewhouse is a microbrewery that produces their own beer on site. They currently microbrew 7 signature beers: Saison de Walt, Satellite Red Ale, Lupulus IPA, Luna Rosa WIT, Flix Golden Ale, 10 Day Scottish Ale, and last but not least, Beer of the Dead. My husband and I sampled the 10 Day Scottish Ale and Satellite Red Ale. Both were quite good!
If you’re not interested in seeing a movie, but you’re curious about their food and drinks, Flix Mix Lobby Bar and Cafe is open every day of the week. A movie ticket is not required, so you can enjoy a bite to eat or have a locally brewed beer at your leisure. One important thing to note about Flix Brewhouse is that they do have a strict policy on when minors can see a movie at their establishment.

They have a strict age policy for when minors can see a movie.
*Ages 17-20 can come solo to shows that start before 7:00 P.M. For any shows that start at 7
P.M. or later, that age group must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
*Ages 6-16 can come to all movies rated G, PG and PG13 with a responsible adult.
*Ages 2-5 can come to all G and PG movies that start before 7:00 P.M.
*Infants, toddlers and strollers are only allowed in Flix during special “Baby Day” events.
*It is recommended that you arrive 30 minutes before showtime to allow adequate time for food and beverage service before the feature begins. Late arrivals will not be allowed into the theater once the show starts.
