The Watermill splash park is located at the back of Williams Park and boasts more than 2,500 square feet of aquatic play opportunities for the entire family through interactive spray and play features. The zero-depth splash pad offers several features with varying water sensations, including flowing, misting, and jetting – in addition to the Superwave that churns out 32 gallons of water per minute! See the Watermill in action thanks to this video on the Brownsburg Parks Department’s Facebook page.

The Watermill’s hours are slated for 10am-7pm seven days a week from May to September, though the Parks Department has indicated they will keep it open as long as the weather and temperature allow. I was excited to see the addition of shade sails to help keep adults cool while supervising the kids! Locating the Watermill near the restroom facility was also a smart move.

While you’re at Williams Park, let the kids dry off by running around on the space-themed Blast Off Playground, or take a family hike down to White Lick Creek via the wooded, crushed-stone Maple Ridge Trail system. The park is also home to a new Pollinator Garden – an area of more than 2,000 plants that serves as a natural habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, and bats crucial to the production of many fruits, nuts, and berries.

The entire park is surrounded by a paved 0.78 mile walking path that is an ideal training spot for your next 5K. Many local sports teams use the open grassy areas for practices, and you’ll often find residents of all ages enjoying the numerous basketball courts. The six shelters are available to rent for parties, cookouts, or family reunions, and the beautiful gazebos near the front of the park are perfect for small weddings! Be sure to check out Brownsburg’s largest park before summer ends!
