Monkey Joe’s South Side Location Closes Permanently

Another one bites the dust.

We’ve seen several of our favorite indoor play places close due to loss of revenue during the pandemic. Last year, Monkey Joe’s on the north side of Indianapolis closed just before the brand new Smiley Indoor Playground opened. Today, the last surviving (in Indiana) Monkey Joe’s announced that they would be closing their doors permanently.

After 12 years of operating a bounce house attraction, Monkey Joe’s will close their doors for the last time on Sunday, December 20th. This will be your last chance to use those gift cards and other promotional coupons you might have been holding on to.

This statement was posted on the Monkey Joe’s Facebook page on Monday, December 14, 2020:

“To our Monkey Joe’s customers,
It is with a very heavy heart that we regret to inform you we have made the decision to close Monkey Joe’s permanently Sunday December 20th. We did our best to work through this pandemic but in the end the pandemic won out.
Thank you to all of our incredible customers for your 12 years of support in the Indianapolis area and beyond. We have seen many of you who make weekly visits to MJ’ and have come to get to know so many of you through the years. We have truly loved serving you and providing many forever memories for your families.
Thank You Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for 12 wonderful years in Indianapolis. We will miss you all.
If you have any questions, please contact C.Howard@monkeyjoes.com or S.Yoder@monkeyjoes.com to discuss.
Best Wishes,
Chuck and Scott”
