The holiday season is bursting at the seams with tons of fun family activities in Indianapolis.  It’s time to start planning for New Year’s Eve!  There are so many great places to celebrate the new year with your family.

Indianapolis New Years Eve Events for Kids and Families

Check out this list of fun family friendly events that will help you and your family welcome in the new year.  Crank up Auld Lang Syne (The New Year’s Eve Song everyone doesn’t know they know), get ready for the confetti, and prepare for a great 2020.

Incrediplex Early New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop

December 31, 5 pm – 8 pm.
A New Year’s event designed for the entire family. The celebration starts at 5:00 pm and ends with a countdown to a balloon drop at 8:00 pm, allowing families to bring in the New Year together. Event tickets are $17.00 per person presale and $20.00 per person at the door while tickets last. A paid event ticket includes: Entrance, Laser Tag, Unlimited Video Games *Non Redemption Games, Bounce & Climb wristband (4 large inflatables & 4 story obstacle course) that is designed for kids 12 and under, access to sports surfaces, face painting, balloon activities, party favors, door prizes & giveaways throughout the event. ($5 Admission required if you do not purchase $20 wristband, and you will receive a $5 game card in return. Must purchase at the door.)

ComedySportz New Year’s Eve at the Athenaeum Theater

Matches at 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm

Join ComedySportz for their family-friendly New Year’s Eve match at the Athenaeum Theater. Each ComedySportz match is an interactive, live improv show for all-ages. Tickets required.

Countdown to Noon at the Children’s Museum

10:30 am – 3 pm

Join in a grand countdown at noon OR one o’clock! Both countdowns will have a confetti grand finale. Happy New Year’s Eve! Entry is included with museum admission.

New Year’s at Noon at the Fishers YMCA

11 am – 1 pm

Join the Fishers YMCA to celebrate the coming year with a bounce house, popcorn, games and a balloon drop at noon. Registration Required.

Noon Year’s Eve at the Lawrence Library

11 am – 12:30 pm

Ring in the new year with the Lawrence Library’s annual “Countdown to Noon” party! This year is an 80’s theme, with music, crafts, games and stories leading up to the 2020 countdown. Celebrate at the branch before its renovation to get a whole new look! Registration is requested.

Noon Year’s Eve at the Zion Nature Center

11 am – noon

New Year’s Eve is a great time to celebrate all we’ve done and all we will do in the coming year. However, midnight can come too late for young ones, and let’s face it, sometimes the adults. Join the Zion Nature Center for a SLITHERING good time celebrating the New Year a little early. Your family can raise a toast with some tasty juice, watch a balloon drop at Noon, and party with Nature Center friends during this year’s snake themed celebration!  Registration is required as space is limited.

Noon Year’s Eve Balloon Drop at the Fishers Library

11:15 am – noon

It is hard for little ones (and grown-ups too!) to stay awake until midnight. Ring in 2020 with a New Year’s Noon Balloon Drop at the Fishers Library. They will have stories, crafts, and songs to help you get ready for the countdown at 11:59 AM. Registration Required.

11:15 am – noon

Celebrate the new year a little early with music, dancing, games and crafts at the Clark Pleasant Library.

Family New Year’s Eve at the Indiana State Museum

6 pm – 9 pm

Celebrate the end of 2019 and get ready to welcome a magical 2020 during this family-friendly New Year’s Eve party! Ring in the new year with magic, music, dancing, face painting, exploring the entire museum and more. Plus, don’t miss the New Year countdown with a balloon drop in the Great Hall when the clock strikes 8 pm! Reserve your spot early so you don’t miss out.

New Year’s at Noon at Urban Air Adventure Park (Franklin)

11 am – 1pm

Bring the kids and ring in the new year in Urban Air style with Next Level Fun! $20 admission includes (1) 2 Hour Ultimate Attraction Wristbands; (1) Free pair of jump socks; (1) Free fountain drink, with unlimited refills; Noisemakers; and Balloon Drop at 12:00 noon.

Noon Year’s Eve Balloon Drop and Family Skate at Roller City

1 pm – 5 pm

$15 admission includes balloon drop at 4pm; special appearances by Chase and Skye from Paw Patrol; skating and rental; bounce fun (10 & younger); unlimited access to mini golf; hats and horns.
