Centerbrook Drive-In

Situated between Martinsville and Mooresville, Centerbrook Drive-In has been in continuous operation every year since 1950. They offer a wide variety of new and classic movies throughout the year. Check them out for fun holiday favorites like “A Christmas Story” and “Elf.” There is a playground for the kids to enjoy prior to the show and a comfortable grass lawn for those who prefer to watch movies on a cozy blanket. They also have nostalgic arcade games inside the concession stand like Pac-Man and Pinball. 

Krypton Comics

Krypton Comics isn’t just the go-to game shop in the area, they offer exciting events throughout the year. Meet the Sanderson Sisters on Halloween, and attend PopCon and Fanboy-like events, game releases, and tournaments. Weekly, you can find open play on some of the most popular games like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic the Gathering.

Grandpa Jeff’s Trail Rides

Grandpa Jeff’s Trail Rides is a dude ranch offering horse rides and more to the local folks all year. Kids as young as 3 can ride horseback, along with a parent. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially for first-time riders. The scenery is beautiful and takes you up hills, over creeks, and through the woods.

Hunter’s Honey Farm

Hunters Honey Farm is a fantastic way to learn about bees and taste their sweet creations. Kids can get in on the action too. Don beekeeper garb and learn about the importance of the smoker, find out how bees work, and taste honey straight from the comb. 

Morgan-Monroe State Forest

Morgan-Monroe State Forest is a great place to spend a few hours or a whole weekend. Camp on-site, fish, hike, and even pan for GOLD!  Conquer Indiana’s most extensive trail, Tecumseh Trail, which is over 40 miles long.

Double B Arena

Double B Arena is a great option for an alternative to horseback riding. Horse lovers will have a blast watching barrel races, bullfighting, and more inside this arena.  Admission is $7.00, and 5 and under are free. They have an awesome rodeo too.

Mooresville Family Aquatic Center

Mooresville Family Aquatic Center is a great spot to cool off in the Indiana heat. They have a great pool with diving areas and slides. The littles will have a blast running and splashing through the sprinklers and kiddie pool.

Bliss Glass

At Bliss Glass you can buy an already-created piece or create your own stained class in a class. Book a private party or check the schedule. 

Anderson Orchard

At Anderson Orchard, you can pick your own apples and enjoy fresh homemade apple cider and apple butter. You can also visit the concession stand for caramel apples and cider slush, participate in the annual Apple Festival & Craft Fair, and purchase fruits, vegetables, and preserves. The orchard is open seasonally.

Paragon Speedway

Find 410 Sprints, Super Stocks, Hornets, and more at the Paragon Speedway seasonally.  Watch for kid-specific events like RC car and bicycle races. Bring a cooler and lawn chairs or enjoy their concessions and bleacher seats.
