We have a whole team of fairy-loving kiddos in our house and dressing up for the fun is just the beginning. Minnetrista, the cultural center located in Muncie, Indiana, is host to one of our favorite Indiana events, Faeries Sprites and Lights. The evening festivities will be held on the grounds of Minnetrista July 25-27, 2024. This magical event is sure to delight and inspire attendees of all ages, as it offers a unique opportunity to experience the enchantment of the faerie realm.
There’s a whole week of activities surrounding fairies, lights, and sprites at Minnetrista in Muncie. Faeries, Sprites, & Lights is a themed event for guests of all ages. We love attending all of the Indiana fairy events, but this one tops our list for the price, value, and experience. Children typically dress up and are encouraged to come dressed as fairies, sprites, or other woodland creatures, but it’s not required.
Faeries Sprites and Lights at Minnetrista
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds of Minnetrista, which will be transformed into a whimsical wonderland filled with twinkling lights, charming garden sculptures, and lush greenery. As they wander through the gardens, they will encounter a variety of delightful surprises, from fairy houses and toadstool tables to hidden grottos and enchanted fountains and bubble gardens.
Throughout the evening, attendees are invited to participate in a wide range of interactive activities, all of which are designed to engage and entertain. Guests can create their own faerie crowns and wings, learn to dance like a sprite, and even make magical potions. Additionally, there will be a variety of vendors selling faerie-themed crafts and wares, as well as food and beverage vendors offering tasty treats and refreshments.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the Faerie Court procession, which will take place at the start of the event. The Faerie Court is a group of performers who will be dressed in elaborate costumes and will portray a variety of faerie characters, from mischievous sprites to benevolent nature spirits. As they process through the gardens, they will interact with attendees, enchanting them with their otherworldly charm and grace.
Another exciting aspect of the Faeries Sprites and Lights event is the lineup of live musical performances. Throughout the evening, attendees will be treated to a variety of musical acts with live music and dancing, ranging from traditional Celtic music to modern folk and pop.
When is Minnetrista’s Faeries Sprites and Lights Event?
This gorgeous multi-day event takes place July 25-27, 2024 in the enchanted Oakhurst Gardens at Minnetrista. Fairies and sprites should arrive at 5 pm and are welcome to stay until the fairy parade takes you out of the gardens at 9 pm.
In the weeks or days leading up to the event, (schedule TBA) there will be several other fun events for children to attend that are related to the Fairy nights at Minnetrista, but they have an additional fee and require registration. You’ll want to sign up as soon as the schedule is released because the Faerie House Workshop and Faerie Tea parties usually sell out very quickly.

In the past, admission was $10 per person, but you can grab less expensive presale tickets in early July. Children two years old and younger are free. Stay tuned for 2024 ticket prices.
