Swim Lessons for Kids in the Indianapolis Area

Swim lessons are very important for children. Safety is of course the biggest factor here, especially since the Indy area has swimming pools, lakes, and ponds galore. But in addition to putting caregivers’ minds at ease, learning to swim opens up a whole world of summer fun for kids! Here are all of our favorite places to learn to swim in Indy, including Mommy and Me/Daddy and Me classes, infant classes, toddler classes, and swim lessons for older children.

Goldfish Swim School

Goldfish Swim School ensures a safe, personal experience by keeping class sizes small. Beginning with toddler classes, student/teacher ratios are 4:1. Parent and child classes are offered for infants, allowing caregivers to engage with their little ones as instructors introduce them to water basics. Water in the pool is kept at a warm 90 degrees, which may encourage anxious new swimmers to jump on in! Students can practice their skills at Family Swim and the pool can also be booked for parties.

This swim school offers flexible schedules, free make-up lessons, and all Water Safety Instructors are extensively trained. Register children as young as 4 months old for parent/child classes. You can also sign an older kid up for a Fast Track clinic for a week of daily classes to help hone skills before a family vacation or the start of summer.

Families can choose from lessons held in the indoor aquatics pool or outdoors at the Waterpark pool.
