Children’s Museum Haunted House 2013 – Time Warp

The Indianapolis Children’s Museum has announced their haunted house will remain open until 8:30pm on Halloween night to offer Central Indiana families an indoor Halloween night option. Enjoy! (TCM Haunted House was originally scheduled to close for the season at 3pm)

I’m so afraid of real life that haunted houses just don’t scare me anymore. The gore and guts of halloween are just kind of fun and giggle-worthy to me. I like looking around and appreciating the decor as a work of art, not as something that frightens me. I’m not saying I’ve never been scared — haunted houses and scary movies used to be my thing! I LOVED the feeling of being afraid, of nearly (or maybe actually) peeing my pants. I’m also not saying that I don’t still have the ability to be startled, I can still get my fair share of creepiness in my spine if I’m startled.

To mark this occasion the good witches from the Guild have created a time warp experience that allows you to step back in time and experience scariness through the decades. With a birthday celebration room, a throwback to the first haunted house with an upside down room and a tribute to Michael Jackson, the haunted house at the Children’s Museum caters to those who are ready for scariness and for those who can appreciate the art behind the creation.

Time Warp is open to the public (see hours below). It time warp haunted house at the children's museumis closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Lights on is a haunted house experience for kids (and adults) who scare easily.
