Try something a little different at Fun with Atlatls at Strawtown Koteewi Park. An atlatl is a tool used to throw darts and predates the bow and arrow, and this program gives families a chance to see how it works.
No experience is needed, so kids and adults can come learn, try it out, and see whether they would have been able to bring home dinner using this ancient hunting tool.
What to Expect:
Hands-on atlatl activity
Learn about a tool that came before the bow and arrow
No experience needed
Great for school-age kids, teens, and adults
Free outdoor history and nature fun at Koteewi
