Join an exciting avian adventure with the Indiana Young Birders Network—an engaging and free community fostering a love for nature and birding. The goal is to provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for youth birders to learn and grow through hands-on experiences, educational demonstrations, and more.
This educational excursion focuses on waterfowl during the peak of March migration. Venture around the Coffer Dam loop, approximately 2 miles long, and learn identification tips and relish the experience of birding alongside fellow young enthusiasts.
Parents are more than welcome to come along for the birding!
Don’t worry if you don’t have binoculars; we’ve got a limited supply for you to borrow. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable hiking boots.
This event is free and open to all. Registration is required so we can gauge the total number of participants and plan accordingly. Park Admission
There’s no fee to attend this event, but participants must pay the park admission fee of $5 for Marion County residents or $6 for all others.
