USDA SUN Programs

USDA’s SUN programs give kids the nutrition they need in the summer, when school meals aren’t available, so they can reach their full potential. SUN Programs include SUN Meals, SUN Meals To-Go, and SUN Bucks. There are about 1,000 locations across the state offering summer meals.

SUN Meals

Free SUN Meals and snacks are available to all kids 18 and under at schools, parks, and other eligible locations. No application is needed. Find meal sites in your community.

SUN Meals To-Go

In rural communities, SUN Meals To-Go are offered for pick-up or delivery for eligible children. Find a SUN Meals To-Go location near you.

SUN Bucks

A grocery benefit is available for school-aged children in the summer. SUN Bucks provides $120 in grocery benefits per eligible child in the summer. As of June 2025, Indiana is not participating in the SUN Bucks program. Find out if SUN Bucks is available where you live and learn more here.
