Hamilton County Kids Coats

Nearly 5,000 children in Hamilton County live in poverty.  These children and their families often rely on much needed assistance from organizations such as Hamilton County Kids Coats, which provides free coats, scarves, mittens, gloves and boots for infants through adults.  Hamilton County Kids Coats exists due to community support by generous and kind individuals and families who donate new or gently used winter wear and give their time to volunteer at this fabulous organization.  Listed below is information on how to become involved with Hamilton County Kids Coats, whether it’s to receive assistance, donate winter wear or give your time by volunteering.  Additionally, there is information listed below for those in need of assistance who live outside of Hamilton County.  Indy With Kids advocates for the welfare and safety of all families in Indiana.  We encourage you to share this information with your family and friends to spread the word on Hamilton County Kids Coats.  Thank you for your support!  

How to Get Assistance in Hamilton County in November:

Hamilton County Kids Coats will hold winter wear giveaways at the following locations, dates and times.  Please bring proof of Hamilton County residency:  

NOBLESVILLE

Walk-in times for Noblesville begin at 2:00pm on November 7, 2015

CARMEL

Walk-in times for Carmel begin at 3:00pm on November 7, 2015

SHERIDAN

Walk-in times for Sheridan begin at 10:45am on November 14, 2015

FISHERS

Walk-in times for Fishers begin at 11:45am on November 14, 2015

ARCADIA

Walk-in times for Arcadia begin at 11:45am on November 14, 2015

How to Get Assistance Outside of Hamilton County:

Please visit this link if you live outside of Hamilton County to receive assistance with winter wear or call Connect2Help by dialing 211 on your phone.  Another option is to contact your children’s school counselor as they can direct you to an array of resources for assistance.

How to Donate and Volunteer for Hamilton County Kids Coats:

New and gently used donations of coats, boots, mittens, gloves, scarves hats and boots are needed in all sizes from infant to adult for lower income families of Hamilton County who need winter wear.  Donation bins are located at Carmel United Methodist Church, Green Valley Church of Christ, Arcadia Brethren Church, Crosspoint Church and Sheridan First United Methodist Church.  Hamilton County Kids Coats also accept coats and other winter wear year-round at their headquarters located at Carmel United Methodist Church.
