It’s a school night and the kids are hungry, my husband and I haven’t had a grown-up conversation or grown-up meal in months. He’s thinking of grabbing a pint at a brewery and I’m thinking somewhere our children are welcome and not seen as a nuisance the minute they walk through the door.
Kid-Friendly Breweries
The thing about MashCraft Brewing is that they know what they’re doing — and not just when it comes to the beers they brew. They have a fun and light menu that suits many types of palates, including that of my picky seven-year-old. Right by the door, kids and adults will find a collection of board games to keep kids happy. There are different types of seating available, not just high-top chairs and chances are, your family won’t be the only one there when you arrive.
MashCraft Family Friendly Menu
From meals and snacks like flatbread pizza, mini corn dogs, giant Bavarian soft pretzels, and a veggies & hummus plate, your kids just might order off the main food menu. If you’re looking for a kid’s meal, you’ll find a cheese flatbread option and a delicious toasted pb&j panini option. Juice boxes and canned soda beverages are available.
Our meal was delicious and every person in our family found something they love on the menu, but most of our favorites weren’t found on the kid’s menus.
Family-Friendly Tap Room
Our whole family loves the taprooms/restaurants on Delaware Street in Indianapolis and on Allisonville Road in Fishers. We’re headed to the Greenwood location for the first time later this month to enjoy some live music.
MashCraft on Delaware has a beautiful outdoor patio with outdoor seating and an indoor dining area. In addition to being kid-friendly, MashCraft is also dog-friendly, and guests of all types are made to feel welcome. When we walked in, the very first thing my kids saw was the shelf of games. They cycled through several choices as we waited for our dinner and sat around after dinner. My husband and I sipped our beers (cider for me and a craft beer for him) and smiled as our kids played at the table.
