Live nativities provide an unforgettable experience by sharing the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ with powerful interactive scenes, in which the public is invited to walk or drive through to view volunteers reenacting the night Jesus was born. Southside Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis offers a Live Nativity December 1st and 2nd from 7pm to 10pm and December 3rd from 5pm to 8pm. This free event includes hot beverages and treats, old fashioned Christmas Carolers, live animals, fun and fellowship.

Westfield in Lights Saturday, December 2nd from 3pm to 7pm offers free activities for the whole family: Live Nativity by the Westfield Friends Church at Hadley Park from 5pm to 7pm; pictures with Santa; train rides; pictures with Frosty the Snowman; gingerbread house display; live reindeer petting and show; live musical entertainment; food & retail vendors; and, the annual tree lighting celebration.

Back to Bethlehem in Brownsburg is held on December 1st from 6pm to 9pm; December 2nd from noon to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm; and, December 3rd from 1pm to 4pm. This is an interactive, walk-through live nativity that the entire family will enjoy.

Anderson’s Live Outdoor Nativity Pageant 40th running of Anderson’s only outdoor living nativity held on December 2nd and 3rd. Free admission and free hot cocoa and cookies indoors after each show. Shows run every half hour starting at 6pm last show at 7:30pm (4 shows each night).

Lafayette Living Nativity at Faith Church takes place two weekends in December on Friday-Sunday nights (weather permitting): December 8-10 at 6:30-8:30pm and December 15-17 at 6:30-8:30pm. Admission is free; however, donations of nonperishable food items will be appreciated and accepted to support the community food pantry.

 

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis Live Nativity will take place on Saturday, December 9th at 2pm and 4pm.

Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Fishers Living Nativity will take place on Saturday, December 9th from 6pm to 8pm. Join us this evening for a retelling of the nativity story, complete with live animals, Christmas caroling, cookies, and more. Cost is a non-perishable food item or new toy. Groups will head out every 20 minutes. A portion of this event will take place outside, so dress accordingly.

Hometown Holiday at Hummel Park in Plainfield on Saturday, December 9th from noon to 4pm features free admission to enjoy photos with Santa, Pony Rides, Horse-drawn Carriage Rides, Train Rides, a Live Nativity, Lots of Door Prizes, Grand Prize Drawings, Cookies and Cocoa, Face Painting, and more.

Christkindl Village on Georgia Street in Downtown Indianapolis will have a live nativity as part of the Christkindl celebration held from December 15th through 17th.

Danville United Methodist Church Live Nativity held on December 17th from 6-8:30pm

First Baptist Church of Greenwood offers a drive-thru live nativity on Friday, December 22nd from 6pm to 8pm.

Live Nativity Events You Missed

Light Up Danville: Christmas on the Square held on November 24th from 4pm to 6pm is a free evening filled with holiday cheer visiting the Courthouse Square to enjoy the Live Nativity, trackless train, strolling Christmas characters, carolers and the lighting of the Christmas Tree and canopy of lights by Santa has become a family tradition!

Elwood First United Methodist Church Live Nativity will take place on November 26th from 5pm to 8pm includes actors, animals, refreshments and an interactive portrayal of the Christmas story.

St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbus presents a Living Nativity on Friday, December 1st from 6pm to 8:30pm. Celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!! We will have food, drinks and desserts!! We will also have king James the camel along with other animals and our dress up characters

Castleton United Methodist Church in Indianapolis Live Nativity will take place on December 1st and 2nd, beginning at 6pm and ending at 9pm.  The church invites the community to follow the journey that Mary and Joseph took.  Don’t miss the live animals and refreshments.
