One of my family’s favorite parks is Roy G. Holland Memorial Park located in Fishers, Indiana. The park is thirty four acres, which includes 1.25 miles of multi-use trails, a community building that is 2,044 square feet, and a shelter area. Both the community building and shelter are available for rent for a variety of occasions. There is also a wide spread of green space to enjoy from soccer games to picnics. My son’s favorite area is the playground, which is intended for children between the ages of 5 years and 12 years of age.
New in 2015, opening Memorial Day weekend is the park’s splash pad! The splash pad is activated in four minute increments by pushing the orange posts at each end of the splash pad. This is done to conserve water, when it is not in use. If there are any issues with the splash pad or anything else at Roy G. Holland Park, please call (317) 595-3138.
Please remember to stay hydrated, bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen and reapply every couple of hours, when you are outside enjoying the beautiful weather! One of the must have items we bring, when we are out and about at the park, is a travel size first aid kit for those times when minor cuts and bruises happen due to accidents with all that running around and playing in the sun!
