If you’re looking for a new place to take the kids that’s thrilling, unique, and doesn’t require sunscreen or a swimsuit, you’ll want to check out Slick City in Brownsburg. This new indoor slide park opens on April 1, and after getting a sneak peek, I can confidently say it will be one of those places your kids beg to go back to—and honestly, you might, too.
Slick City isn’t your average indoor play space. It’s 42,000 square feet of pure excitement, packed with massive slides, bounce zones, and a multi-level play area for younger kids. The best part? There’s no water involved. The entire park uses dry-slide technology, so kids get all the thrills of a water slide without the hassle of swimsuits, towels, or post-slide sogginess. You can show up in your everyday clothes and jump right in—literally.
Let’s talk about the slides for a second because they are next-level. My kids and I raced each other down Fast Lane, a side-by-side slide built for competitive fun (spoiler alert: Mom still has the edge). The Royal Flush had us all spinning through a swirling bowl before a thrilling drop at the end. And Mega Launch? That one launches you into the air before you land on a soft mat—my oldest called it “the most epic thing ever.”
There’s also Big Wave, which is like a giant half-pipe for people instead of skateboards. It’s intense in the best way. But what impressed me most is that Slick City didn’t forget about the littles. Junior Jungle is a dedicated area for younger kids under 45 inches tall, and it’s not just an afterthought—it’s a full-on playground with plenty of climbing, sliding, and space to explore safely.
If your kids are into jumping, they’ll love the air courts. Think open trampolines with basketball hoops and space for flips (or flops, if you’re me). My kids were all over it while I appreciated the clean layout and lots of seating where parents can take a break and watch the action.
As a parent, I also loved that the entire place is indoors and climate-controlled. Rain, snow, or sweltering summer heat—none of it matters. It’s the kind of place you can keep in your back pocket for birthdays, school breaks, or just those days when the energy level is off the charts and your furniture is in danger.
Slick City Brownsburg is located just outside of Indianapolis off Crawfordsville Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway, which makes it super convenient for anyone in the Indianapolis area. Food and drinks are available for purchase (because no one has fun when they’re hangry), and everything was sparkling clean when we visited, which is always a relief.
The grand opening is on April 1 at 10 a.m., and while they’re starting off with limited capacity to keep things manageable, you can book your tickets online in advance. I’d definitely recommend doing that—they’re expecting big crowds, and walk-ins might not be available at first.
Slick City already has locations in Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, and Texas, but this is their first in Indiana—and I’m so glad they picked Brownsburg. It brings something totally fresh to the local family fun scene, and I know it’s going to be a hit, especially with kids who are growing out of traditional indoor playgrounds but aren’t quite ready for a full-blown adventure park.
If you’ve got kids who love to move, explore, and push their limits (in a fun and safe way), Slick City is absolutely worth a visit. Ours were still buzzing about it hours after we left—and already planning their return trip.
You can check out all the details, sign waivers ahead of time, and grab your tickets at slickcity.com. Trust me, your kids will thank you.
