Everything is big in Texas. EVERYTHING! That’s why there’s a whole city dedicated to celebrating Christmas, and they do it in a HUGE way! Grapevine, Texas is the Christmas capital of Texas and the most joyful place I’ve ever been.

A Christmas story will be shared and then each child will receive a silver Santa bell, check out the Christmas tree maze at the North Pole, see a Christmas show and Santa, enjoy a keepsake mug of Frosty Chocolate Snow Milk and then return to take a photo with Santa.

Put on your winter coat, scarf and hat and enter the world of ICE! at the Gaylord Texan! it’s cold but it’s so beautiful! Santa Claus hangs out at the Sea Life Aquarium…under water! Yes, go see a scuba Santa! We enjoyed our time checking out the sea life at the aquarium, walking through tunnels as fish swam grapevine texas sea life aquariumbeside and above our heads. Hours: Monday through Friday, 10am-7:30pm, Saturday 10am-7:30pm, Sunday 11am-5:30pm. Cost: Adults $20, Children 3-12 $16, Children 2 & under free. TIP: Purchase tickets online and save 25% or buy online for a weekday after 5pm visit for more savings.

Vetro Glassblowing is a shop full of glass treasures and LIVE glassblowing demonstrations. Children and families are invited to be a part of making their very own glass blow Christmas ornament. Select your three favorite colors, help apply the colors to the hot glass and watch as the artist completes the project right in front of you! See website for dates and times. Cost: $30 per ornament.

Also, Texas is home to several of the world-famous Bucc-ee’s gas stations!
