When Urban Air aAdventure Park opened south of Indianapolis, families from all over Indiana made the drive to see what made this space different from other indoor amusement centers. They found a kids area for younger visitors, trampolines, climbing walls, a sky rider, arcade games and a warrior obstacle course.
Urban Air Adventure Park
What makes Urban Air different from other indoor places? In addition to the typical attractions that are popular with children and teens, they have an aerial obstacle course (similar to ZipCity) and something called the Sky Rider which is like being harnessed to the underside of a roller coaster and flying and flinging around the whips and turns. My daughter loves the Sky Rider.
While other centers are brightly lit and only really go dark in the evenings or during special glow or black light events, Urban Air is in a perpetual state of blacklight/soft color shifting LED lighting mode. Urban Air has a large playground area and climber with slide for the younger set (similar to Incrediplex).
Urban Air in Franklin
In an area that’s anything but dense with children’s activities and places for families to play, Urban Air took over an empty Marsh grocery store and made it the go-to destination for birthday parties in that area. Conveniently located just off of 31 South at 1172 N. Main St., Franklin, this location has the claim to fame of being first in Indiana. Take a look at their calendar of events, kid’s birthday party packages and any discounts/coupons that might be posted on their site. They even have sensory friendly jump days and times!
Urban Air Noblesville
It’s true! Noblesville will be the home to the next Urban Air Adventure Park! I spoke with one of the owners the other day and they’re so excited to bring this adventure to serve the families of Noblesville. At this park, expect all of the attractions that you’ll find in Franklin and more.
Not able to make it to Franklin? Don’t worry! There are two other Indiana locations, Noblesville and Bloomington. Hours, attractions and prices vary, so be sure to call or check their website for details
