7 Things to do this Weekend with Kids | September 30-October 2, 2022

It’s October and we’re putting out our Halloween decorations and getting our pumpkins ready. But Fall also means it’s festival season!

We have some great ideas all across Central Indiana this week. Penguins in Fortville and a festival in Avon! Bundle up and watch a movie under the stars with our friends at Greenwood Parks & Rec on Friday night. Plenty of fall fun for the entire family.

Our friends at Sullivan Hardware are back with their Sullivan Express and this time of year it’s chugging along to PumpkinTown! Reserve your family their very own train car and enjoy the sites and sounds of PumpkinTown. Meet the PumpkinTown mayor, catch a magic show, and trick or treat in the mini subdivision.

If you haven’t visited your favorite apple orchard yet, there is still time to squeeze in a trip. Many orchards also have pumpkin patches and stay open through October.

BONUS!! Adapted from the book by Rick Riordan you can transport to the world of Percy Jackson when you snag tickets for the one-night-only showing at Bulter University of The Lightning Thief. This coming Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 6:30 pm.

What’s on your calendar this weekend?

Let’s go #PlayIndy!
