Take and make activity kits have become very popular over these last few weeks of social distancing. If you or your kids are feeling stir crazy, a new project to work on could be just the thing needed to spark creativity or get you through that rainy day. Socially Distant Woodworking Projects

A man named Dave Haughs started a Facebook page where he shares woodworking projects for kids. Every week, he leaves hundreds of wood working kits in his driveway (now expanded to other locations). On Sunday mornings, Dave gives the location for the supplies and then posts a video that shows how to assemble the project. Kits are available until supplies run out and are free for the taking.

The Teal Canary

The Teal Canary is offering art kits that are perfect for children and adults. These projects typically range in price from $7 to $10. Check out www.tealcanary.com and order by calling (317) 414-2066.

Yellow Umbrella Designs

Yellow Umbrella is offering string art kits. Order directly from their Facebook page. There are some great options available such as rainbows, Indiana, pineapples, hearts, and more! Porch delivery is available in Franklin Township.

Cookie Decorating Kits

Cookies are fun to eat, but also a fun activity to do at home. There are several bakeries in Indianapolis that are offering cookie decorating kits. Order one for a special occasion, or just for a fun activity!

UPaint Pottery

Indianapolis area locations (Greenwood, Plainfield, and Noblesville) are offering pottery to-go. Check out their Facebook page for all of the choices. (There are tons!) Price includes paint. Message them on Facebook to order!

The Flower Market

The Flower Market is making flower grow kits and daisy bouquet kits for kids! These kits are only $10 and can be ordered ahead of time and picked up curbside. These are adorable and perfect for spring. Call at (317) 887-2777. Located at 199 N. Madison Ave.

Brightly Art Studio

For this one, you will need to set yourself a reminder. Brightly’s art kits dubbed the Brightly Box are made available to order off of their website. These kits have a different theme each week and are sensory play kits. Past themes have included jungle, cupcakes, and unicorn magic! Think: wonderful homemade play dough and all of the animals and accessories to help your kids launch imaginative play. Boxes go live at 3:30 pm on Tuesdays. Line + Form Art Center

Line+Form Art Center located in downtown Indianapolis is offering play dough and sensory kits. There are some available on their website and more will be added in the near future. Line+Form is known for their process art and helps kids understand how to lead their own learning and creativity. Their studio is beautiful and worth checking out. Jack’s Donuts (all locations)

Take and Make donut kits. Available in half dozen and dozen varieties. Includes icing and sprinkles for decorating. Call ahead the day before to order! Once social distancing restrictions are lifted don’t forget to visit their Carmel location for donut making!

Once Upon a Party

Once Upon a Party has a wide variety of kits available on their website. You can order a birthday in a box, busy bags for kids, and a variety of different baskets of fun treats for Mother’s Day, adult birthdays, and even teacher appreciation! Rockstar Pizza

Pottery by You

Color Me Mine

Color Me Mine is located in Carmel. Place your order online choosing from a wide variety of projects. Painting with a Twist

Twist at Home Kits: Kit includes canvas, 6 paint colors, brushes and access to step by step painting guidance. Kits are received by mail 5 to 7 days after ordering.
