Dance the Night Away at Daniel’s Vineyard

Daniel’s Vineyard has some great events planned for the month of October. Come out on October 5th to enjoy wine and learn how to Tango! This is such a fun way to learn something new. If you have been interested in learning to dance, this is a stress-free way to do it! For $30 a person, you will receive a 60-minute dance lesson and a glass of wine to loosen you up. On October 13th, it’s time to break out your very best Halloween costume and have a blast at the adults-only (21+) Halloween Party. Your admission includes a drink ticket. Appetizers are available for purchase and the best dressed will be announced at the end of the evening.

Sweeten up Your Evening at a SoChatti Chocolate and Wine Class

October is such a fun-filled time to visit SoChatti. This chocolate factory is pulling out all the stops for Halloween. On October 5, 14, and 19, try out a flight of all four origin chocolates along with a flight of five wines. Make sure to order their signature Cidermosa as well. Enjoy a tour of the chocolate factory, nibble on a charcuterie board, and make your own drop candies to take home and enjoy later. Or eat them up right away! This month’s drop candies will feature Halloween add-ons as well as Rice Krispie Treats and Apple Pops to decorate.

Stroll Through a Spooky Neighborhood at the Irvington Halloween Festival

Trick or treat! Irvington is the place to be in October! October 28th will mark the 77th annual Historic Irvington Halloween Festival. This is Indiana’s biggest and spookiest Halloween Celebration and even features an after party that you will want to snag tickets for. Shop the vendors during the day, groove to live music, admire all of the Halloween decorations and indulge in some tasty treats. The after party promises to be an event filled with chills and thrills so come dressed to impress in your best costumes and party the night away.

Cheer on the Indianapolis Colts at a Home Game

Tailgating is a favorite fall activity. Snag some tickets to one of the upcoming Indianapolis Colts home games and plan to spend your morning tailgating or visiting Touchdown Town featuring live music, drink specials, games, giveaways, and more. There will be home games on October 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th. Each game features a promotional giveaway as well. The Athenaeum will present the 15th Annual GermanFest on October 7th. Greenwood Parks and Recreation hosts a Fall Concert Series with two concerts taking place October 7th and 14th from 6-8pm. On the 7th you can groove along with That 90’s Band and on the 14th, you’ll get to enjoy the sweet sounds of Stella Luna. Bring along chairs and blankets to stay cozy. We like to pack some favorite snacks and drinks. Additional food and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase from local businesses.

What could be more romantic than snuggling up together on a chilly fall evening? There are several locations around Central Indiana where you can enjoy a hayride through the forest or a farm. Eagle Creek Park and Southeastway Park both offer hayrides throughout the season. If you are in the market to get pumpkins, visit a local pumpkin patch and use the hayride to journey out to the fields. After your hayride, make plans to warm up at a bonfire. Pack a thermos with warm apple cider or hot chocolate to enjoy while you tell stories by the fire and look up at the stars.
