Help your children discover a love for music! The Indianapolis Children’s Choir (ICC) is an incredible asset to the local community and the world of music education. By providing young singers with exceptional training in vocal technique, music theory, and performance, the ICC helps shape the next generation of talented musicians. The ICC is so much more than just a choir; classes, camps, and a variety of programs are also available. How can you support this excellent organization? Here are three ways to get involved and share in the love of music.

Celebrate Young Singers at an Upcoming Concert

The ICC is known for its high-level music training. Come out and experience the culmination of that hard work and dedication in these upcoming performances.

Day Programs and Camps

Preschool Outreach Program (POP!)
Preschool Outreach Program (POP!) is a specially crafted one-day event designed to bring the joy of music to preschoolers (3 to 5 years old) while participating with their caregiver. Packed with interactive activities and captivating songs, this delightful program introduces young minds to the wonders of music in a fun and engaging way.

Kindergarten Boost Camp
This one-day program gives kindergarteners a glimpse into basic musical concepts. Kindergarteners will be immersed in the arts as a tool for strengthening their skills in key areas of their academic year, including symbols, patterns, math, and more.

Young Exceptional Singers (YES!)
Experience the ICC’s artistry through the Young Exceptional Singers (YES!) program. This is a one-day musical event where you will learn, create, and perform a concert of repertoire with the ICC’s Preparatory Choir. This is a one-of-a-kind event to highlight the fantastic voices of children in grades 1-3.

ICC Summer Music Camp 2025: Just a Dream Away

Join the Indianapolis Children’s Choir

Joining a choir at the Indianapolis Children’s Choir (ICC) is a wonderful opportunity for young singers to develop their vocal skills, make lifelong friendships, and experience the joy of music. The ICC offers a variety of choirs for different age groups and skill levels, ensuring a place for every aspiring singer. Opportunities are available for children of all ages. Kindergarteners through Seniors in High School have options to suit their needs.

Choir Programs

Foundations Choir (Kindergarten)
Kindergarteners will be introduced to formal choir instruction in a playful and understanding environment during this 10-week program each semester. Singers’ hard work culminates with participation in an ICC Season Concert, where they experience the magic of performing on the big stage for a live audience.

Preparatory Choir Program (Grades 1-3)
The ICC’s Preparatory Choir is a non-auditioned experience for 1st through 3rd-grade students available at several locations throughout central Indiana. Children are introduced to choral music in the rehearsal setting and participate in a choir where singing, learning, and fun occur! Participating in the Preparatory Choir is an outstanding way for children to explore their music and singing interests.

Auditioned Choirs (Grades 4-9)
Children can audition and join a choir suited to their musical abilities and talents. Three levels of instruction are available in this age group: beginning, intermediate, and advanced choir options. This age group is at the first level with auditions, giving children the experience of the audition process. The kids are then placed in the group most appropriate to their current skill level, allowing them to continue to learn and develop their talents.

Master Chorale (Grades 10-12)
The high school division of the ICC is for singers in grades 10-12 or those with changed voices. The Master Chorale enriches vocal technique, fosters outstanding performance etiquette, further improves music literacy skills, performs a wide variety of exceptional repertoire, and nurtures lasting friendships. Master Chorale also performs one major choral work per year with a professional orchestra.

Jubilate (Special Needs in Grades 3-9)
The Jubilate Choir is for singers with special needs in grades 3-9. The Jubilate Choir singers with varying abilities meet each week to grow musically. This tuition-free choir focuses on proper singing techniques, music theory and sight-reading, part-singing, and social skills involved in being a member of a musical ensemble. Singers in Jubilate engage in additional activities like visual and tactile experiences catered specifically to the current choir members.

Supporting the ICC means investing in arts education, fostering creativity, and giving children opportunities to shine while building meaningful connections with their community. Whether through attending performances, experiencing a camp or class, or joining a choir, supporting the ICC is a way to be part of something truly impactful and inspiring. Please visit the Indianapolis Children’s Choir website for more information about these opportunities.
